I thought you were getting your "climbing legs" back.

We bypassed Indian Creek(mistake), climbed the pavement. Hit Big Laguna Trail from the General store and Ranger station off Sunrise Hwy, then got on Noble Canyon Trail. I somehow erased 20+ pics of Big Laguna and didn't take too many on Noble cause we didn't stop but a few times. We hit Strairway to Hell and didn't take any of the bailouts, but no time for pics. We did 30+ miles, but I'm sure there's a lot more. I'll need to hook up with you guys so you can show me the full tour. Sept weekends are already full for me.

Default Rr Noble Cyn

As Always A Blast Riding With Genus.
Noble Is Not A Shuttle Ride Unless You Are Luggin A 40-50lb Rig Up. The Climb Is On Blacktop Which You Think Would Be Hot -hot - Hot, But We Really Did Not Notice, (due To The Stoke Of Some Different Scenery). The Thunder Storm Was Completely Awesome. It Did Top Out At 106.6 But Only In Some Breeze Stagnant Areas.

I Do Recommend Riding Noble With A Friend Preferably One Who Knows The Trail. There Are A Few (unmarked) Intersections Toward The End. One I Believe Is An Early Out That Leads Back To The Blacktop To Eliminate The Tiring Steady Ascent Out. If You Happen To Take A Wrong Turn You Could Go Miles Out Of The Way And End Up In The Little Town Close By. Thanks All!

Go With God!

Great ride report and photos, Gene!!

I hope it cools down a bit in the next two weekends... 106 might be a bit much for a big group ride out there. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Sounds like you guys had a good time! Definitely hit it up when it cools down. We'll take you on the slightly more epic route!

We will organize a ride down there later in the year & meet up with Justin and Allison (their backyard).

OMR
Cathy - you could probably handle the ride. I've really only ridden SART with you that wasn't DH riding, but you were fine out there. Noble is similar in exposure sections and length, but has a bit more climbing, and quite a few more technical sections. All okay for walking.

As Gene and OMR said, though, not good for beginners.

HOWEVER, doing some riding up at Big Laguna and maybe even including a descent down BMX and a climb back up Noble to Penny Pines would be great for beginners looking to experience in the area.

You would think it would be here too, but every summer I hear the same whining.

That's because every summer we have a few hundred thousand implants from elsewhere in the US that move here and complain about it

Great RR Gene. I look forward to riding Noble sometime down the road, maybe next year.
