It is also in the single track/jungle section. You can see it in plenty of time to slow down and stop from both directions so no issue there. I think going under it would be cool but you need more clearence.

It takes half a second to get off and go under and there is poison oak everywhere down there anyway. Leave it be. Maybe it will keep the motorcycles out.

It would be cool to dig under it, AND build a ladder over it. I rode my first teeter totter in Big Bear this weekend so now I'm a Freerider...

Ya, if you miss the ladder and go off either side, the PO will make for a soft landing.

Thanks Gene, KeepsWhatHappens, and the other who provided info and action. Nice job folks.

I gotta admit though: All this talk about the P.O. situation is giving me second thoughts about taking my wife through there this weekend on the newbie ride. I don't know if she's sensitive to the stuff or not, but finding out the hard way sure would turn her off to the sport in a big way. Might stick to a known trail for now.

Waldo, most of this trail is PO free there is just the one section you need to pay attention through and thats all. People will point this section out once you get to it so you can be alert. Other than that its a really fun trail with alot of great terrain.

Jordan is right. As long as you pay a tiny bit of attention and just don't touch things off the trail you'll be fine.

Also, the tree is still odwn but it's really no big deal. It can be easily crouched/walked under. I rode through there today.

Thanks for the input, folks. I'll talk to the wife & let her decide if she's into it or not. If not, I'll probably take her for a ride at Aliso or Peters.
