Wow it took about an hour to go through this thread! Sounds and looks like you all had a great ride. Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one.

Bummer, did you fall or is it just the exposure to it that gets you? Lots of it in the jungle section.

Just the exposure. Might even just be the people in front of me disturbing the plants and the oil flying up in the air?

BTW - I lathered on the IvyBlock before the ride and did some tecnu washing after the ride.

When I am healed up I will be out there with the family. I was rolling around on my bike last ting it really hurts if I hit a bump or anything. I think it might be a while.
Get yourself better fast!!! You were missed.

Default Sorry It Took Me So Long, But...

Thank you thank you thank you to Gene and everyone else who had a hand in making this ride such an enjoyable and memorable event. I wish I knew your names so I could thank you all personally, but I don't so I hope there's no offense taken.

It was a fantastic experience to be surrounded by a group of people who obviously had much respect and affection for each other. Even though I didn't know any of you besides Gene and a couple of others, none of you treated me like an outsider. My skill level being at best a rank amateur, and at worst pathetic, didn't stop many of you from making me feel welcome and providing much-need encouragement and advice.

To put it simply, you guys and girls rock

I hope to get a chance to ride with you again soon, and hopefully meet more of you.

Thanks again STR for a swell Saturday!!

Mitch

Gene, I think you missed your calling as professional ride organizer-congrats on putting together another fantastic ride.

Godfather, thanks for putting together a site that allows us to meet up for these events, with such a wonderful crowd.

Sounds like a great ride, so sorry I missed it. I'll be looking for the next one

Glad you, Rich and Craig got a chance to catch up and ride together. Thanks for coming out. When you want, we'll ride again soon. They're doing it again this Labor day and I may join. Lets not wait too long before we hang out again. Say hi and give my love to Diana for me. See you bro.

I kinda promised Diana I would take it easy until my ribs and other tender areas got better. We'll see what she says. Marco is hounding me to ride Part Deux, but we'll see. Maybe you can come down some weekend and we'll check out Vail Lake.

It was good seeing you and Rich and Craig, and after all these years I got to meet Dave. It was a good time for sure! Give my love to the family, especially Mom.

Take care, and let's ride again soon.

Guys this was a fun ride and Gene you rock for putting this on. I would like to thank Brewmaster and the Warriors Society for the cool beverages. The ice cold Cokes hit the spot after sweating out the Kettle One from the night before. I think next time I do the extra credit. Dino you still owe me a lunch. Greg I was trying to catch you earlier and I actually was in viewing distance of you then came up to the last water crossing and I think I could have plowed throught the water but was stopped from other people walking through. Peace out everybody it was fun riding with everyone.

Was I missed? I was really looking forward to this ride and to see all the pix, it really looked like everyone had a blast....So much fun in fact no one noticed I wasn't there.
