I'm going to do my own RR for this, but just had a few things to say first..

Gene, thanks for not only organizing the ride, but utilizing my stupidity? for suggesting that we ride over and ride with you guys! It was really a blast. Cool meeting some new people and riding with some bubbs. Also, Gene, you rock, man. I supremely appreciate you taking your time to drive us up to the Holy Jim trailhead. That was a top 5 highlight for the day! The ice you offered kept my water cool all the way up Holy Jim and then down ITT. We definitely owe you.

OMR - nice riding with you finally! Some day you'll need to teach a clinic on remaining quaffed while riding.

Traci - way to go woman!! Your determination is inspiring.

Nam/Dell/George/WheelieJeff/Noel/Steppie/Justin/Joser etcetc great riding with you guys again. Can't wait to do it again soon.

Thanks to Keith for talking me into additional suffering and heading off with you guys. Had fun

Sorry if I missed anyone.

Thanks again to all.

BTW:

Total mileage: 51.18
Total climbing: 6800ft
Peeps ridden with on the trail: 55~
# of beers: approximately 1
Spending 11.5hours on the trail with hubby, meeting new people, riding with old friends: PRICELESS!

Thumbs up

Thanks Gene and the Warriors for another excellent day of riding. I finally got to bring my 15 year old son (Matthew) on his first STR ride (only second ride on a MTB bike). He loved it and was ahead of me alot of the time. Thanks Dino for riding with him for a bit there at the end. Too bad nobody got to hear him tell you that your horse was just passed by his Specialized

Once again I am impressed by all the girls riding today. Bruised, scratched, dirty and wet they were all smiling and having a blast. Alyssa had a blast and really enjoyed herself.

We had to leave right after due to other commitments but look forward to the next ride. I dont work Thur so maybe I will bring Matt to the loop.

first off i'd like to thank EVERYONE that showed up...everyone involved in the ride makes it what it is and has become as of lately. Gene, the Warriors and STR are truly putting on some epic rides no matter the mileage. It was great to see the smiles on everyones faces enough if they were struggling, they were still having a blast. I'm glad that the whole newbie/beginner/novice ride has been flourishing the way it has. Where else could you get a group of 50+ to ride a trail when its not an organized race?

my heroes of the day:

OMR for being the badass he is, perfect hair and all. homeboy is fast no matter how young he is

Justin and Allison for putting in some killer miles the weekend before a big trip

Marcy's niece, Lauren? she was pushing it today and even though she got sick in the first few miles, she fell and fell again but never gave up!

Traci for charging those climbs and keepin in high spirits! She had Gene and Chris (boats) as personal assistants for this ride maybe they had something to do with it eh..

Marcy for the sweeet sandwich after the ride, that saved me big time

Justin for cruising with me throughout the ride, I still think he's shock seeing me ride a rigid ss bike

Brewmaster for the after ride refreshments

now for some pics!

Jesse the muscley arm paper boy

Willie!

Gene patchin up marcy's knee

Default Giving credit where credit is due

Giving credit where credit is due!

Thank you Gene for organizing yet another successful noob ride. Your rides are becoming legendary!!!

Thank you to Pain Freak, Gene, Allison and Nam for capturing the moments.

Thank you to John, Gene and The Trail Angels for leading the way. Some of us would of been lost without you.
Thanks Sam for the beer!

Great seeing the old Nam, DStep, Allison&Justin, Sam, Lety, OMR, Dino, Dell, Justin, George and the rest as well as meeting the new JeffJ&son(still cant believe how far your commute was), Xhusker, Integradriver and that guy on the 6Point6(sorry forgot your name).

Finally, I think I figured out how OMR keeps his hair so immaculately in place. His hair is actually hard plastic and he has one of those styrofoam head ladies use to put their wigs on when they go to sleep. He has one of those heads in his car and when he finishes the ride he takes the old one off and puts the new one on??? Just a theory. Just kidding. Im just jealous.

Here are some fun videos I took today.

A volunteer from the crowd (don't try this at home)

It was great riding with everyone today. Lots of new faces and fun people to meet. Amazing how many people you can meet with a cooler full of beer... Seriously, I had a blast with everyone, especially on those water crossings.

Thanks for organizing this one Gene.
