RR: Back on 26, or Snow Summit 8/19

Well, the Dos Niner was great yesterday, and while I did enjoy climbing on it much more than my Demo 7, nothing beats the Demo for some local descending

Great to see Dell, Ann, CC, Jeff, Dino, Den Mother & Roger, Tim, and some other peeps. Nam, you've been replaced in Dell's heart. He's going bigger.

Unfortunately, the Snow Summit owner/President reamed the lift employees, so they were cracking down and following the rules. No Socom in the morning for Justin.

First run up we went to the left of the lift and then headed right some... we ended up where Andy broke his saddle back on the Demo day, with all of us trying a little log jump/drop off. I walked back up to hit it, and some people stopped to watch and take their turns.

and her rear tire hit the log wrong, bucking her feet off the pedals and causing her to wipe out a bit after a shaky landing.

Despite that, CC decided she'd try it out. As you can see from the photo, she went off it looking pretty good.



Unfortunately, the following are the results:





Looks like a bear attack, but it was just a bunch of saw dust and branches. She was out cold for what seemed like minutes... and probably was at least 1-2. We got her up, moving slightly, and found that nothing was broken.

After an ER visit, she had a concussion, but we were all glad to hear it was nothing worse. It was a tense 30 minutes. CC - the offer for my spare FF still stands!

So, after a bit of an unnerving break the rest of us carried on.

After most everyone else bailed, and we had lost touch with the faster beeshes, it was just Dell, Justin and I.



Then Justin and I went up for one final run.

I didn't get his name, but we ran into a group of guys and he decided to hit this log jump. Landed it well also.



Justin hit Andy's nemesis.



Had a great day riding with everyone! Again, Cathy, glad to know that you were okay, but make sure you get plenty of rest and heal up!! Hope you aren't too sore, woman. You took it like a champ today.

CC was a trooper trying to fight her way to her feet as soon as she was able to move... And made sure to use every inch of available suspension....

Healing vibes CC, take off looks good in the picture. Looked like a great day out, no dual crowns or was it the lack of chain rings? I think I should finish my new build this week, so I'm hoping to hit BB soon. I'll post some pics when I've finished the bike.

CC.. This is awesome. Must be the STR version of the scar tatoo. CC, hope you are feeling ok. Wished I could have made the BB trip. I skipped my Saturday attempt so if anyone is in for another trip, preferrably not next Sunday, I am in.

Seeing CC take that fall kinda made me take it easy after that. It was good to find out that she was alright. Otherwise it was just more good times in BB. Thanks for pics Justin and Allison.

Another great day riding with everyone. Nice to meet all of you new folks! Hope we didn't scare Noel's friends too badly. CC, heal fast, we'll have to do it again.

Sorry we got separated today. We had a friend show up that hasn't ridden in 3 years, so we hung with her all day and then had to cut out early. Didn't get many photos, having too much fun riding.

My face is swallon more now and my neck feels like I got whip lash, but luckily it wasn't too serious and I'm able to get on to STR.

Thanks everyone that was on the ride for you help and for everyone's kind words. I'll probably take the day off tomorrow....Now I'll have time to get through all my unread posts...maybe. hehehe

Oh and I'll be off the loop this week, but I'm hoping to make it next week.
