Up until now many of us were trying to keep this place from getting too populated...and thus ruined.

So much for keeping this place quiet and under wraps....At least let's not spread the word too much. No mtrbr.com please or other forums. Once you ride here you'll want to keep it quiet.

Here's the deal on whether they're legal or not...The trails were originally illegally built by Team WTF on state park lands. But now that they sit on the proposed 241 Tollway extension (which ironically the state does not want to go through) the state has gone through and officially signed the trails. So they're legal now. BUT that does not mean crossing into Camp Pendleton is legal and I would NOT suggest crossing into a federal military facility.

and look for "Pendleton Singeltracks" a name used to throw people off track a bit. There are plenty of routes to have a blast without venturing into military lands.

Gene is right this is not a good newbie ride. Too many surprises and ways to endo. The trails are hard to describe, fun but challenging and almost never straight and level...a hard place to find time to grab your nipple for a sip.

You didn't hear it from me but there is a standing ride Tuesdays leaving at 5:00pm from the lower small parking lot across the street from the skateboard park.

Oh and yes Pizza Port is the place to finish up after the ride.

Nice shots John ... this is really a fun place to ride. Have ridden there quite a bit with Reed & Bob... but haven't been there since they put the signage up. We always try and stay away from the camp Pendleton side... they don't like riders wandering around their perimeter.
