Default RR: Area 51 (Fawnskin) to Green Valley Lake

The original plan was to ride from Hanna Flats to the fire lookout at Butler Peak. It turned into a ride to Green Valley Lake instead. Almost the entire route is fire road with a few single track sections near the beginning of Area 51. Most of this trail is along the Big Pine Flats (2N13Y) area with lookouts to Holcomb Valley. There really aren't any technical sections on the entire trail but, if your looking for a little outback adventure riding, this could the place. You can also ride from Hanna Flatts to Crab Flats to GVL as well. You would have to deal with the off-raoders if you went that way.

The entire route from Fawnskin to Butler Peak and on to GVL is around 19.5 - 20 miles depending on how much single track you rode at the start. In one of the photos, you can see Snow Valley and the folks at Rim #3 look like their having fun as well.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photos. I forgot to charge the real camera.....

The start at Fawnskin:

Sure did. I'm not brave (or good) enough to ride this as an OB.
