A great day was had by all. Hats off to Neil (Adrenline)... he and his troops put together a great event. Money was collected through donations and raffle, a fun poker ride through Santiago Oaks was orchestrated Adrenline and a BBQ lunch was provided by three cuties with a great sense of humor.
The ride itself was dry and dusty as you might suspect... the three bitches really strung the riders out as usual. This is the first time I've been back since the fire and yup! it looked like a moon scape. We desperately need rain!!! I just sort of let the 29er SS loose and Gene, Mike and I came into the last check point and found that we were the first to show up. Instead of riding back to the park, we broke Gene's cherry on Blair Witch... which is getting pretty sandy in spots but a ton of fun riding. The hamburgers and New Castles waited for us back at the park. After most had eaten they picked the winning hand... which was won by Andy and his 3, errr, no 4.... errr, 5 queens. Although there was a growing suspicion that cards had been exchanged by many... Andy finally walked away with a cool set of Race Face cranks. The authorities have promised a full and complete investigation ![]() Then the raffle began in earnest with most walking away with cool T shirts, tires, tubes, hats, hubs, swag bags and stickers (of course!) Several bikes were given away ... Serge won his usual bike (a 24 incher) and a 29er SS was won by a girl... who promised to ride it! I took some pictures, mostly of the gathering... one shot shows the mud hole that we all went through The last two pictures speak for themselves... showing the releaxed atmosphere at the end of a great event. STR was well representerd at the event. Again hats off to Adrenline Bike Shop, Yeti, Chumba and Rocky Mountain for organizing and supporting a really fun event. Quite a bit of $$$ was raised for a worthwhile cause... and speaking of that was that Neil who was last seen heading south with that bag of money??? ![]() Great job guys!!!! OMR

Props to Adrenaline and all the bike companies who came out to make this event awesome! I'm stoked though on the Hadley hubs i won!!! Its funny because I was talking about getting a new wheel set and now this really helped me out because my budget wouldn't have allowed me to build something as strong as what I'm planning to build now.

These make some really nice wheels! Its a ride when you dont ride fast enough, gremlins pop out of the bushes and poke you with sharp metal objects! I see Blair Witch is ridable again!! I took a friend through there after the rains in '04 and it was so overgrown that you couldn't even see the trail let alone ride it....
