Wow, that's gnarly. Sorry that I couldn't make the ride, but I'm even more sorry about the casualties. I wish every rider down, either from this ride or any other ride, as fast a recovery as possible.
I've got that in my left forearm. Sorry you have to have it done, Keith. Hope you heal up quick and fast so we can see you on the trails sooner rather than later. ![]() WHAT?!?!?!?!? Don't you want to tempt fate? Last edited by project_d; 07-27-2007 at 08:27 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Life behind bars

WOW! I dropped off Christian after Thursdays ride and when I got home I had to go to work. I just now got back in and read all the posts! You guys have been busy! I have been riding this trail for 3 years now with many different groups. This last few weeks must be the law of averages catching up. I can't recall one person I've rode with saying they broke anything on the loop. I'll know next week if I will need surgery. I just want to get back on my bike! Speedy recovery to you Keith. Sorry you didn't get your Ti parts as ordered... maybe next time... JK. Xavier... how bad did you get it? Hopefully the injured can be of some use at Roscoe's next Thursday... maybe for Dino to poke fun at or something. Thanks to CC and Slowspokes, and anyone else that stayed with Christian on the ride. It means a lot to us. Thanks for the brownies CC! Did I forget anything?

Huge thanks to Ann & Andy for dropping my car/bike off earler today.
Not good news about the bike however. Damage found so far: Front Crossmax SL is totally taco'd. Fox Fork steerer tube is severely bent. Brake lever mount cracked in half, CK headset ruined, Rear SL wheel has a spoke ripped out of the hub flange. Looks like its new bike time! Pics to follow...........

Note that CNT bars are intact ![]() Crossmax SL goes all Mexican on me ![]() Frame 'appears' to be crack free altho needs LDP testing ![]() Rear spoke torn from hub flange ![]() ![]() Note tree bark embedded in stem bolt heads! ![]() Lets hope the frame is still A1 although to be honest its looking like new bike time.

Come home and hear all this....woe. Hope all you guys heal up quick. That is some serious crashing there,Keith. I was taught a long time ago not to use trees as breaks. It works, but there's always some other payment to be made. Take care of the limey,Sarah. See you soon,Keith.
