Ok I'm 4 weeks late posting this. Took a quick trip up to Mammoth the weekend before the 4th. I just found some pics on my camara. I was by myself & the place was pretty much empty. Most of the runs I did I didn't see another rider on the trail. Still very loose from the lack of rain, Skid Mark was still closed, & X park stuff thin on the ground, I'm sure everything is open now. Got to a few sections where I needed a bigger bike! Coners where loose & deep. My front end was trying hard to wash out all the time. I realized when I got home I had put my front tire on backwards right before I rode
![]() I camped in town which was cool, but I got my tent covered in extremly large ants. So big that I spent all night fighting over the pillow with one. I had Breakfast at the Breakfast Club which was awesome, & delayed riding for about an hour, until I could move again!Anyway fun times headed up in Aug sometime. Rock on

Mammoth absolutely rocks! They use to hold the Worlds there... the Kamakaze was the fastest I'd ever raced downhill on a bike (rigid in those days) and it scared the living sh*t out of me. Nice shots of the surrounding areas. I can never decide whether I love Mammoth for the biking or the boarding???

Ya it was super windy while I was there, Kamakaze was also closed. I only went to the very top once, I was just taking Mid Mountain all day, then jumping on the shuttle bus back to the lift. I was surprised how expensive rental bikes where, I was going to rent something bigger, but it would have doubled the cost of my trip! I think I'm going to buy a Coiler or something for all out abusive riding. Something I can still pedal around, but run about 160+ up front!
