Default RR: Fully Loop WOOBIES bday and then some..

Well, what a night! A couple bubbs got broken off and hit the ER as some of you may have already read. This turnout seemed just as big, if not a tad bigger than last weeks ride. Neil and Andy were towin' the bob-trailers full of "tey-cah-tay" and i had 5! thanks bubbs! lots of photos were takin' and im sure they'll be posted soon. Heal up soon Jared and Macgyver!!!!

We hit Roscoes afterwards and enjoyed some good live music to top off WOOBIES bday...he said he was going to sing, but we bailed before we had a chance to see if he got on stage to sing some Pink Floyd. I think Gabe zapped WOOBS with the tazer at least 15 times after the lot. A highlight was when WOOBS had to take a pit stop at grisolm park, and then The Southern Dandy swooped his bike and road off with it and dumped it about 1/2 way up the bridal path while WOOBS gave pursuit...during the pursuit WOOBS lost a shoe and I think Neil or Nam picked it up and brought it elsewhere also.

A bunch of us actually didnt do the full loop due to the circumstances. I had a chance to ride nams s/s and cleaned the waterbar climb And then I came back down the hill and had another tey-cah-tay while we waited for the bubbs and bubbettes to arrive.

Looking forward to the pix, and nam, if you can, post that 5 beer deep huck.

I thought it might be a little smaller that last week, but not much.
Mucho fun. I had not heard about the other two injuries. Heal quick!
On to the pics:

Liquid carbs

STIL

bike thief

Pakiha riding next to Andy. JRA....

skill!

I stopped to take a picture of this tangle and heard 'broken collarbone'. It took a second to register.

He was quickly helped. It's nice to ride with such great people.
I got my truck and we were soon at the ER with Blonde Wahine.

Once they were settled I went back to the lot to watch the tazerfest.
Woobie had a dirt nap.

Nice!

This ride is #1!

Duuuudes... so I had the pleasure of driving macgyver's (spelling?) truck to the emergency room... it was good timing too, because just as we showed up at about 9pm, jared (i think... sorry im so bad with names) was just leaving from his collar bone incident... by the way, awesome xrays... looked like a clean break... we got mac checked in, and he and dino and i sat in what had to be the most crowded emergency room i have ever been in... people looked like they were dying... legit... we waited four hours before they took mac in to reset his shoulder... Dino and mac's stories kept me entertained... speaking of entertain - DINO you need to change your ringtone...
anyways... my sympathies go out to the injured

and thank you again to everyone that helped me out with my stuff this week... ROB - BOATS - and HOOSIER...

peace out yo... expect hospital pictures soon too....

Wow, what a night, 1 birthday, 2 collar bone injuries(heal quick Jared and Mac), several flats, still lots of fun! Fun times later at Rosco's. I have lots of pics to sort out and I'll post them in morning after my ride. There are some good ones. It was a blast tonight on the Loop. Although most of us didn't do a complete one, I still had alot of fun. All I know is: WE LEFT NO ONE BEHIND!

Hope you had a memorable Birthday Woob!

I was 100ft behind Jared with he went down, I could not see what happened just a great cloud of dust and flaying arms and legs with people trying to get around him.

Very sorry about the injurys, it was not my favorite time out on the Loop...I don't like it when people get hurt. Due to injurys and flats the group as a whole did not stick together. It started getting late so I went ahead to ask that they not close the gate at the Lake. That and due to the dark, many took the streets back to the Court House. I had lights so I finished the Loop.

Get well soon guys.

Well, for a quick update. Jared is fine. He just snapped his collarbone in two. It is a very clean break, he is lucky it did not go through the skin. Doctor gave him a very nice prescription for Vicodin, although he says he doesn't need it, but we will see what he says tomorrow. Big thanks to everyone who helped him out, especially Schecky for driving Jared to St. Jude's and helping me get his bike into our car and stuff. And what fun to be just about done in the ER only to see Dino Brown come poking his head in along with Maverick. There was a third guy but, sorry, don't know your name. Always fun to have STR reunions in the ER. Anyways, Jared is in a sling and is out of commission for about 6-8 weeks, but I'm sure he'll be active enough lurking around these forums. Heck, he's already said he'll still show up at Fullerton just to hang in the parking lot with you guys. Thanks again to all. He says he'll try and get some Jenson g.c's for all those who helped him.

I was thinking the same thing last night.

I was depressed when I heard about the injury, and that we had an injured rider in the group. That crash could have been any one of us, considering how closely many of us were riding (not a problem, just an observation).

Jared, best wishes, and hope to see you on the trail soon!

McGyver update--- he is "fine." Our St. Jude's ordeal started at 9pm. Finally got him home at 4:30am. Unbelievable! If I told you the emergency room was straight out of an episode of "ER."- Too funny!

Oh, his injuries- dislocated his shoulder pretty good. Pictures and Emergency room "ride report" in a few hours....
