You can show up on a Huffy and it won't matter as long as you have FUN! See you there.

Paul- Don't worry about the brand loyalty thing. Simply a case of Brother's and Sister's fighting! Pretty much an on-going joke.

Our common bonds are friendship and a desire to ride bikes- not who has the BEST bike. Join us and you will see for yourself.

Whats wrong with Huffys or TOYS R US?
I once saw a Motive with all XTR on it and it was light.
I think that it would be a lot of fun to get some old rusty Huffy with a chain guide and a foam goose neck pad and a Kick stand. Make sure the fork is way bent in like it has been run into a curb many times . Then put Neil on it with a flannel shirt and show up at a ride where the guys have
all high end bikes. Then roll right by them on a climb honking a frog horn and eating twinkies while giggling where is the hills on this ride.

Neil are you in? We just need a lot of stealth helmet cams to get the reactions on film.

Now that is not very nice. The new guy should be "welcomed" into the group. Once he is officially "one of us"- THAT'S when we start ripping him a new A-hole!

...and another thing. My name is not b!tch, it is SIR! Next time you address me, make sure you show proper respect.

I used to ride with a guy who would occassionally do that on the loop. He used to also take a bike like that to Marshall Canyon and rip up the hills past people. The downside was that he often had to walk back to the car after the bike would have a fatal breakdown. Fortunately, he managed a bike shop that took in most any bike on trade. Those were fun times.

Default Huffy s are magical.

It has to be real fast guys or it wont be as funny.
I have shown up with a joke ride on a down hill run.
It was wild it was am amp research bike with a 18 spoke radial laced front wheel with ultegra hubs and grafton brakes and cranks. The bike weighed around 22-23 lbs and flexed like a wet noodle. This was in 93. Hmmm maybe that bike wasn't a joke in 93 it was high end I guess. Just not for DH.

That's like the most sincere thing you've ever said.

Ain't no thang...

It's all good in da 'hood...

I'll post my Romero Canyon story in a bit... I've got to figure out a way to embellish the tale so I seem like a biking stud...
