Default RR: Fawnskin and Arrowbear.

Today was the best local ride I have had so far this summer. Thank You Lynn, Scott, Matt, Tin, and Jeff for the ride. It was warm in spots and very cool in other spots, I can not complain about the weather at all. I have no idea how many miles or elevation we climbed but I felt a little worked after our Fawnskin ride.

Stopped for late lunch at Deep Creek Café and I was more than ready for some more miles. So Scott, Tin and I did hit up stuff in Arrowbear. I liked that ride more than the decent off Greys Peak.

Couple of shots from the Arrowbear ride. I only stopped a couple of times to take pictures. Well I dapped a few times and did a little partial OTB into a bush.

Thank you all for an absolutely fantastic day... It sounds like I may have to run back up to Aero Bear to pick up what I missed out on. Either way I was able to get home when I had promised after a great day....

I thought that I took a lot more pics but here is what I had on the camera when I got home...

I also have a little video clip

Fantastic Day! I'll add my pics tomorrow.

The niners outnumbered the turners for once!

So Dean, how long did the arrowbear extra credit take?

Didn't pay to much attention, I am guessing a hour. I think Tin had his GPS on, he should be able to tell us.

Well since it is the day before my 57 B-Day, maybe we could move my anual B-Day ride over from Waterman to Fawnskin. Grout Bay is a ride that anyone can ride..very easy trail....if you walk a couple of sections The climb to Grey Peak takes some effort, but it is not part of the Area 51 Loop...it is a out and back and can be skipped by those not wanting to climb. Nothing tech out there, just fun sweepy singletract that gets loose in the corners. Beginners welcome ride.

I think that ride sounds like a lot of fun. I would like to go check that out. I'm sure Willie would like to ride there.

If people express interest it doing it again I will post it up.

It is a bit of a drive for a 14 mile loop counting the Greys Peak out and back. It is a ten mile loop without it. That is why we added some stuff near Kellers Peak.

Scott, Tin and I found a local hookup (BRay from Running Springs) and when we get back from Kennedy Meadows I hope to spend sometime up there learning the local goods. There seems to be a bunch of off the radar trails up there.

Default I'm for sure in

I know a few "Newbies" who'd be intrested too.

We could even do our own ride at our pace and meet up with you all. This would depend on who all (fasters vs slowers) would be interested in the ride.
