Default RR: Tijeras Creek

Well, not really much of a RR but I wanted to thank Matt(BRpunkrock), Lety and Boats for joining me today through Tijeras Creek. Jesse you really missed out on a good ride through The Jungle Cruise. Overall I think we all had a great time and only a small bit of blood was shed but that means it was a good day, right? Had some good food and drinks at TGIF afterwards and then some Golden Spoon. Great day of ridin with friends!

Jordan

When I get through the next two weeks of traveling I am gonna post up a ride through Tijeras for the masses if anyone is interested. Its not a challenging trail for you hardcore guys out there with no real climbing aside from some small hills but it has enough technical stuff, rock gardens, overgrown, singletrack, some ledges, water crossings to keep it fun!

Yeah Jordan, Lety, and Boats good ride today! Not to hot at all like our last foray out there in the afternoon heat. I would put this ride at an intermediate level, but nothing to hard that a beginner could not get though with enough time. I am down for doing a group ride sometime out there. What was the milage on this run about 14?

Yeah the route we take puts us right around 14.5 miles. Elevation gain is just under 1000ft.

Basically this route - Geoladders -- Tijeras Creek Loop (REVISED)

Thumbs up Agree!!!

This is actually a fun route that we included on the recent Bikes for Rwanda Ride. We set it up as a 25 mile second leg... a lot of riders hadn't ridden it before and really enjoyed themselves. Sorta spooky over by the huge dirt jumps.

Yeah we ride by that now every time it adds more fun trail action before you hit the dirt jump section. Im waiting for someone like LEE to come and hit the jumps when I have a camera on me I would love to know how they were built, who got a Bobcat and pour all that dirt down there. Dont really see an easy way of getting those built in that location!

This was a fvery fun ride. Definately want to do it again. I remember going thru parts of it for the Rwanda tour. The Golden Spoon at the end was the best...j/k...kind of.

Definitely a ride that most would enjoy. I think the water crossings and jungle cruise make it fun. No climbs unless you add Robinson's Ranch to it . I know a good Loop or lollypop that we could do. Post it J and count me in.

Jordan really I am soooooooooooo sorry... this weekend was weird for me. I just had no energy to do anything! This weird headache/flu thing I have or whatever it is is really draining the energy outta me. I mean I can't even complete a full gym sesh for gosh sakes! I will make sure I get enough sleep the night before so I wont miss next ride. Again SORRY for flaking out...

Sorry I couldn't make it after you had invited me. But I rode the loop with my Father now that he's trying to get back into riding bikes. He climbed all the hills, did some drops, and rode what ever berms there is there. Well anyways set up the ride you've mentioned and i'll sign up for sure.

a little hot but great ride... Count me in when you put together a group.
