Default Just Outstanding Trail Kernville

I can't believe I am the first one to post anything about this ride. I am usually bringing up the rear when it comes to posting. Not everyone made it up here for he previous weekend. A few riders from down south came up to Kernville to sample the goods up here. I didn't ride Cannell with them on Saturday but did go with them on Sunday. Let see if I can remember everyone. There was Allison, Justin, Denny, Julie, Woody, Jen and Mark I think. Sorry if I missed or messed up anyones name. Now on to the pics. The first part of JO is very fast with a lot of flow so I didn't get a chance to take my camera out until the Manzanita tunnel.

There are a few rock rollers that can make some good pictures. After riding over them. Justin and I were walking back up to take some shots. We heard the sound of a crash then heard someone dropping the fbomb repeatedly. We both started sprinting up the trail. The profanities continued and I was afraid of what we would find. It turned out Jen washed out in a sandy turn and crashed into a yucca bush.

She walked it off and continued to ride after a few minutes. She is tough. Woody seemed disappointed that she didn't try the rollers after being a human pin cushion. She took a detour so she could get away from him.
Here is a cool piece of granite we rode down on the way to Dutch Flat.

The girls making it look easy.

STR is telling me that I can only put 20 pics on at a time. I have a few more to post.

Denny seems pretty happy. He has several reasons to be.

Default Good times...

Jfsh, thanks for showing us around your neck of the woods, everyone had a great time on Sunday. The trail has some massive flow and I especially liked Dutch Flat. Lots of elevation lost fairly quickly = fun!

Anyway, dft, some other buds, and I will be up in the last weekend of July for the rest of the goods...stay tuned.

The JOD had a great time too, even being 3-1/2mos. pregnant. She wanted me to thank you and not feel bad in the least bit for bringing a pregnant woman on a ride with some of the HAB'bage that JO had.

See you next month,

Denny

Thanks for being out tour guide. We all had a great time, though it must have been hard to tell when we were slogging out bikes uphill. You never saw me when we were going DOWN, so you don't know how much fun I had. Awesome trails up there. We'll be coming back sometime. I'd rate that trip as one of my most fun short weekend getaways ever.
