ok,. just rode over Rocky Peak litterally over it, well when I say rode I mean pushed up rocky peak,. missed the chummash trail and rolled down the other side wandering where all the good singletrack is..
NOT HAPPY CHAPPY. is the trail hard to spot or was I just too dumb to see it ?? probably the latter.. wish i had done hummingbird instead, i saw that one. |

Chumash trailhead is about three miles past Hummingbird, on the left. It's not particularly difficult to spot. Where did you end up? Can't imagine you'd ride out-and-back on the fireroad and miss the Chumash trailhead in both directions. Maybe you didn't go far enough?
You might consider parking at the lower Chumash trailhead and riding the trail out-and-back. Directions: From the 118 freeway in Simi Valley, exit Yosemite Ave. Head [SIZE=2]north on Yosemite to Flanagan Street. Turn right onto Flanagan and [/SIZE][FONT=Arial][FONT=Verdana]continue all the way to the end of the street. Trailhead is right there.[/FONT][/FONT] |
