Mountain Biking in Sequoia - Quaking Aspen

We are thinking about going here soon.
Does anyone have any info on bike trails?
I seem to remember a post or two.

There are probably 4 or 5 trails out of Quaking Aspen. The Camp Nelson Trail goes from the campgrounds back down the mountain into the town of Camp Nelson. It's a great technical single track that takes you through the redwoods. About a 2 hour ride. Then there is the Jordan Peak Trail and the George S. Bush Redwood Trail and several others names that I don't remember. Great place to ride... just watch out for the bears in the Quaking Aspen camp ground. They come in and visit you at night.

I put a couple maps on the site of some trails I've ridden near Quaking Aspen. Camp Nelson trail, Freeman Loop and Needles Lookout. There are some other trails on the maps, but I haven't ridden them (yet).

I second that! One of my all time favorites. I was there last summer with a group of friends coming back up the Camp Nelson trail and came around a tight corner looking face to face with a bear. It was the worst smelling animal ever. It just looked at me and I was ready to crap my pants. I had just finished a peanut butter sandwich and he smelled it. He just walked past me and moved on. To make a long story short. Watch for bears!
