RR: RR: 5/13/07 Find Dean's Glasses Ride
It was an awesome day for a ride. 8 of us went on a fishing trip to find DSteppers Glasses after he took a swan dive into Kenyon Devore Lake from a previous ride.

DStepper, Burner, Cal Epic, Troy, ShinKen, Franky & STJunkie   The Green Hornet  and Franky enjoying the singletrack and at some points it was half of a singletrack no more then 12" wide with some nice jagged rocks or a sharp a$$ bush on the downside to make your day.  Jose, Troy and Craig checking out the scenery as they watch Burner walk a gnarly section.   This is where Dean took his infamous swan dive.  Barefooted STJunkie fishing out Deans glasses.   STJunkie showing us the way  Flats, flats and more Flats. As Dean said Cal Epic1, STJunkie2, and Hanzo3. We were out of tubes and patches, luckily another rider passing by gave Scott a tube because it would of been a long walk to Switzers.      Sorry no pictures from Redbox to Switzers my battery died. Maybe STJunkie can add some. If only I had a helmet cam you could of seen CalEpic do a no footer down a tech section. Nice to have met you all. |

Thanks for the RR Noel and thanks Scott for fishing out my glasses...he found them and had them out of the water before I got to that section of the trail.
Kenyon Devore is one of my favorite trails, but not a trail that I would want to ride every weekend. It takes the risk factor and exposures of Strawberry Peak Loop up a notch and Strawberry Peak Loop exposures are way worse than San Juan. If you ride it please be carefull.

Glad you got your glasses and all of you made it out without walking. Sorry to miss the ride after complaining that I didnt get invited the last time. Guess ill try to hook up this weekend.
