RR: Pass the Dutchie

So I had a great day today. Woke up in an especially good mood, like a weight had been lifted. I was feeling like riding!

It was going to be hot at midday when I could get to the trail. But I have a week left of being able to ride during the weekdays, so I'm making the most of it.

So as I'm approaching where I park to ride up sullivan canyon and down the westridge singletrack, a song comes on the radio that I instantly knew was going to get stuck in my head...


Did I say HOT? temp in the lower right hand corner

but it's really hot climbing out the back of the canyon

a very quick break at the NIKE site


then it's off to blast up and down the westridge singletrack


getting hot again


hammering out the downs and ups is fun and a great workout, and the view of the santa monica bay ain't bad!



I covered about 10 miles, no dutchies were passed

Nice post. I might be up for a ride up there somewhere on Thursday afternoon. This morning I did the La Grange road ride, the fast group. It was SOO fast but so fun. It was all I had just to hang on. 33 miles before 8:00 AM at 20 MPH average! I'm sore.

Ouch - that's f'ing hot riding weather! Props to you for getting out there despite the elements. That heat reminds me of the scorching 24hr race last year

LOVE the bike... but having wheelset issues still, giving me some pause when I really push it.

I actually cheated, I know someone that lives on westridge with a pool. I parked in front of their house, so at the end of my ride, I just rang the doorbell went straight to the back yard and dunked myself... it was perfect.
