Default RR: RR: No Dirt, Fort Rosecrans

Had business in downtown San Diego today so I brought the One-9. First real ride in over a week due to an abrasion on my knee. I did learn that I heal quicker if I leave my abrasions dry…it was not healing fast with Polysporin and I really don’t care about the scaring.

I found free parking near the SD airport so I rode out Rosecrans to Cabrillo National Monument, stopping at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery to pay my respects to my parents. I did find a little bit of singletrack along side Rosecrans inside to National Park. The hump from the Harbor was nothing compared to the hump back out of the tidepools to Cabrillo Monument.

The weather was stunning today in SD, a touch of smog and temperatures a little warm with a cool breeze. Of the big cities I have been in San Diego is one of the better.

Holy moly - is this a G.I. Joe-sized bike, or did you need a telescope to look up her skirt?

My aunt is buried there.

Yeah, I love that picture with the sailor kissing the nurse there. The perspective is all whacked out! Tiny little bike with the big ol' people. Kewl!
