Huge Rattle Snake on Cholla

Rode Cholla today saw the BIGGEST pissed off rattle snake I have ever seen. Hiding behind a bush, poised for redemption. Kept us at bay for 15 minutes, traffic came to a stop up and down until someone negotiated it back in the bushes.
Lots of snakes out there today, keep your eyes peeled.

Yeah we seen 3 dead rattlers and one huge gopher snake and we were riding road!

we rode san juan today (which was busy, but no snakes). we all thought about how aliso would be full of snakes with today's heat/sun.

if its not snakes, its ticks......

He was pissed b/c 3 of his brothers and 1 friend were killed on the road yesterday...lol

was it Big Red? there's a resident rattler on cholla that's kind of reddish in color.

We have seen a very large reddish Rattler at the top of Cholla by the Kiosk before, very cool looking snake!

I stopped there too ! I was on the Brown Spesh Enduro SL. There was a runner and a guy with a beard on a bike. That snake was HUGE. It was also a color I've never seen. It seemed Copper to me, not like all the diamond back's I've seen. Anyhow, I've been reading up on what to do now....I've seen three more since then, one baby......

There has been more and more every week. Maybe its the weather, the little bastards like the warmer weather. Its cool, I respect them its their house I am playing in, as long as they don't wrestle me off of my Ironhorse MKIII.
As far as snake bite kit, you are better off just calling for an ambulance or get to the ER ASAP. Not a whole lot you can do on your own.
