Default RR: The Luge 4-7-07

Even with some hazy skies and slippery rocks we had a great turnout this morning with the 6 of us and The "Mammoth Riders" group, I think 8 or 9 from their group....mammoth is Middle Age Men something with a M Over The Hill....great group to ride with.

The Start

The Fog

Meeting at STT and Dave flicking off my trial run of the 29" in front, 26" in back

Some air was had at the bottom of the flag!

The 69er or is it a 96er?

And the always needed Group flag photo, before the Mammoth group arrived and after!

Thanks to Frank, Johnny, Jimmy, Dave, Sylvia- she's got some climbing skills - and the rest of the Mammoth group, Tim, Marc, Jesse, Francisco, and Diamond Dave for making it out this morning.
The trail was actually in pretty good shape, tacky with a little bit of mud here and there. The 29" front wheel made the seated climbing a little different but was fun in the corners and downhill. I have to admit I could not tell a huge difference between the 26" and 29" front, except going up hill!! But that might be because I'm not a climber to begin with
The Luge took another victim today, it was Diamond Dave OTFB and into a flat tire with a little back grooming down the trail...he's sore but ok
Some of the rocks in the Luge were pretty fricking slippery but managable, just don't try to turn on them.
Great ride as always and thanks again for all that made it!

Thanks to everyone who stopped and made sure I was ok a little humbling but I truely appreciate it. I had a great ride today with everyone man I wanted to stay in bed this morning but even with 2 good wrecks and Jesse beating me up the hill I had a blast.

Default A slight clarification.........

Thanks Neil, we all had a good time and enjoyed a good lunch at Mustard's cafe by the Chevy dealer. Just so you know and all of your buddies know.......M.A.M.M.O.T.H. stands for "Middle Aged Men Moving Over The Hill".........looking forward to hooking up with your group this weekend at the Sea Otter deal.
