According to Ed the Ranger, the park received about .06 of an inch of rain (about as much as someone spitting) ...so the park remains OPEN and available for riding. I'll be patrolling this afternoon on the SS... say hello if you see me and 1/2 Rib (Mike Grobler)

I'm sure I'll run into him. I use to ride a lot with him and his son (good rider) before they moved away. Glad to hear that he's back... very nice guy!

Holy crap loading the bike and it's windy as hell. So anyone down Aliso way at the moment to give a definite wind report before I leave. It's an hour drive ...worth the drive today?

I'm in Aliso Viejo right down the street from the park. It's windy but nothing that should keep you off the bike.

I'll be riding today. I was headed out to ride now till I got a call from Steamrolen. We will be riding about 2-3pm. Hope to see you out on the trail. I'll be in a Mtbr.com jersey on a "desert sand" color Giant XTC SS.

As of 9:30 this morning, Whiting was closed. The official Waldometer Rain Gauge is in the shop, but I'd guess we got more than .06" in them thar hills last night. Glad I got my loop in before it hit!

They close Whiting if it's too dewy, I'm heading for Aliso now, The wind here at home(Mission Viejo) is howlin! It'll make for an interesting ride along the Ridge.

Dunno if this still does any good, but the Peters area got a brief downpour around 2:00pm Tues. Within 30 min it was sunny and windy, and stayed that way the rest of the day.
