Not sure how much riding you've done in the Quaking Aspen area, but I can tell you this: the Camp Nelson trail is only the tip of the iceberg. PM me if you're heading up that way. I can point you in the direction of some really incredible trails.

The last time I was up there with you guys, the weather wasnt that bad. Yes its hot but its feasable especially if youre moving and not hiking. Its cool on the mountain and thats where you spend most of your time. Im down for a ride in Kern County if its a Sunday ride. Henry's nuts are also itching to be riding up there.
