Default RR: El Moro/LWC

6 wheels, many trails, no (real) falls

(had probs uploading files…so many just put in at the end until I fix it later)

Ann, Mark and I headed out for a fun day of s/t and climbing. We ended up doing close to 11 different trails, shitloads of fun, zero blood and 15.5 miles. After climbing I Think I Can and heading up Upper Moro Ridge, we cut across the new single-track, BVD. New trail for a couple riders here, but it was all good with loose steep descents and tight switchbacks. (photo at end)

Next we headed up Emerald Canyon fire road where Mark and I rode through the ONLY mud on the trail. (photo at end)

Ann, the smartest of the group, saw the line to the left and did not have to stop and pull of 5lbs of mud from her bike. At least I had proof of breaking in my new tires. Continued up Bommer to the Old Emerald S/T. It had been years since I've been on the trail and damn I missed it, as did the rest of the crew. Speed, rocks, switchbacks near the end…what else do you need?

Another long climb out of the canyon and back into El Moro. A quick jaunt across Fenceline

on our way to Rattlesnake (my nemesis). Mark was giggling with glee like a school girl with the fun he was having. I think he took every bump as a jump until he go to Rattlesnake. For some unknown f*@#&^g reason, Ann and Mark said I should go first, even though I usually fall on that damn trail.

Well…..for the first time in a while…no crash (foot down on 2nd run)

no walking and good lines=success at last!!

Legs were starting to fade as we turned towards Mach 1. Speed, speed, and more speed to carry our way to the end and out of the park. Great ride, great day, great people! Thnx Ann and Mark!

Sorry Kevin, I really meant to go but after yesterday's fall, I can barely walk right now. Glad you guys had fun, Ann was pretty excited when she got home telling me about the ride while I was laid up on the couch.
