RR-Getting Back on the Bike
Well it has been 6 days of no riding for me. Anyone that knows me, knows that is a long time for me to be off the bike. Its been killing me.
Since Thurs or so, I have known I need to get back out there, but my hip just wasn't into it. Friday I hopped on the townie to the local coffee shop. Hmmm, not that bad, but the shorts were rubbing on my open wounded and bruised hip. I had to wait a bit more before I got back out there again. Today, Sunday was the day. Burdman and I left the homestead for a Whiting loop. Scott borrowed my boingy bike (hardtail) and I rode my rigid. My hip felt fine/good. My elbow, however, was a different story. I have a pretty good cut on it and the scab is apparently pretty heavy. It bounced around on my elbow like an unsupported boob. Maybe I should wrap it and get some support on it. Long story shorter, I'm back! I'm no where near full strength, but I'll be there before too long. Yeeeehaw!!! So who wants to ride?

Welcome Back!
Andy, Nice to hear that your back riding again.
 Injuries do suck, not so much because of the pain you endure, but more about not being able to ride. I'm glad your back and I'm up for a ride. You'll have to be easy on me though. I took your advice and changed my SS gearing to 32:18. It's much better, Thanks for the advice and I'll see you on the trails. Gene Hey OMR, I ran into Dan White again, this time at Aliso at the bottom of Cholla, says he's just out burning time, strong rider! |

Hey,
missed you at Fontucky, I thought you'd be there just hanging out. I talked to Todd, and he just about passed out when I told him you got tagged by a sheriff's car. OK, sore elbow and rigid fork?    ARE YOU NUT'S? Oh yeah, forgot who I was talking to.  Great to hear you're back at it.

Thanks all for the kind and encouraging words. Hmmm, I might be up for some SART action this weekend. Keep me in the loop if you don't mind. I really need to start riding again if I'm heading up for Sea Otter.

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back (to the tune of Welcome Back Kotter)--umm, yea, I have a bit of insomnia tonight and it does weird things to me(only 4 hours til I have to get up).
Anyway, good to hear you're back; we'll be looking for you at Sea Otter!!!
