Default RR Whiting to the Luge and back

I met with a buddy at Outback at 5:40. We needed to get a quick ride in but we wanted to see if we could make it to the Luge and back before sunset.
We pretty much started out sprinting and did that for the entire climb. Whiting is in as good of shape as ever. We ran across a few young ladies (one was a friend from years ago) and stopped to say hi, other than that, it was all anaerobic-all the way to the Luge.
I just put a rigid fork on my Niner and wanted to see how it would handle under some stress. She was wonderful. The descents on Santiago Truck Trail were a bit tough and of course the descent down the Luge sucked big balls on the rigid, but that is something I just have to adjust to. I hope it is sooner than later.
Well the ride was pretty uneventful, but it was great getting to ride after work again.
Riding the back side of Whiting is sooo beautiful right now. The green grass, the fun swooping trail and of course the thoughts of "I hope no one is around that next corner." make it a blast to ride. I got back to my place with a few minutes to spare. The sun was down but the sky was still filled with vivid color.

You started Whiting at 6:15 right? We left the car at 5:40 so we probably squeeked out ahead of you. Maybe next week!

Andy... have you considered all the axial loads you are putting your brain under while riding rigid down the Luge?... that, combined with the heavy consumption of New Castles has probably accounted for numerous dead brain cells and bad decisions.

Oh, how much longer shall this go on???

Oh, the humanity of it...

Anyway, see ya tomorrow dude.
