[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]The “Ledge Drop” was hit:[/SIZE][/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3][/SIZE][/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=1]Photo from last week[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Suddenly Hootie slipped a pedal as he sailed off the “Ledge Drop.”[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]His stomach would collide with the back of his saddle.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]The saddle rails didn’t stand a chance:[/SIZE][/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3][/SIZE][/FONT]

[SIZE=3][FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT][/SIZE]

looks to me like he has clip-ins
i may be wrong but it sure seeems like it

this remids me of an old story- I broke a seatpost near the top of toads/zipps on one of the past bikes n beers rides- coming down zipps was interesting at best- you don't realize what an important pivot/reference point your seat is until it's gone!

That frame looks like my old Heckler that I sold recently. Not too many around with Romics.

He got bucked a little bit which probably caused him to unclip.

Hootie's bike is a Bullit.

That is the new style of seats......way forward so you can get over the front end to climb.....sort of like time trial bikes.

A bit off-topic, but i gotta say that even with the jacked saddle, that Bullit is way effin' hawt. Such a classic, reliable design. I still regret that a few years ago i went with an Ellsworth Joker over the Bullit. Is it any wonder Santa Cruz is bringing the frame back this year? They're gonna sell a crapload of 'em.

I broke the seat clean off of my bike once, did it with my.......well, you get the picture.
