Pat, at least you were the first DNF. That's something!

After the cutoff I was pulling numbers to alleviate any confusion at the finish line. I got two distinct reactions from the DNF riders. The first one was anger (usually at themselves) but mostly it was like "Thank God".

BTW - SHARE meeting tonight!

My reaction was the first one. I'm still pissed at myself for not pushing through. There was a little of the "thank god." The wind was no fun at all.

Why did some people with DNF place? I just don't see how that could happen. Either you finished or you didn't.

I beat you all, I'm 145th, woohoo! Or, 14th for women (last). Of course, you can't really count the super-humans, Monique and Leslie, so I really came in 12th (heeheeh)

Now I'm really pissed at myself for screwing around at the Holy Jim parking area instead of going straight to the finish. I gave up about 5 places

jk - My only goal was to finish. I turned 45 yesterday and I proved to myself I'm not too old yet.

omg! I got first single-speeder in the cc! i am so happy right now ... i wanted to be top woman, but oh well ... crap. wait. there were like no single-speeders this year! hahahaha. oh well.

I looked it up and actually finished VQ 10 minutes faster than last year, which is pretty incredible considering the total bonk I had starting at Trabuco. If I can just remember to drink some fluids next year and maybe the magic electrolyte capsules...
