I'm 345. Sweet. That's easy to remember.

Speaking of....where do we mount the number card?

Front of the bike so that the marshalls came make a note of it as you get to each check point.

We haven't met (I don't think) and I am sorry to hear about your knee, but we could use some help at station 2 if you would like to volunteer. You would be in a position to see everyone pass by and the job we need help with is one that you could do sitting down so you don't agrivate your knee injury.

It might get you a free entry for next year!
Hey, the next thing you know, you'll be giving away free bikes and beer

Seriously, Sauce, you couldn't work for a nicer guy!

# 89 here.

And Chelle, please don't include me in the crazy fast guy group. I'm riding good, but no where near the crazy fast guys!

See you all there!

Strike while the iron is hot! I don't really know what that means but it seems appropriate here.

I will see you all at the bottom of Motorway, I volunteer again this year.

I recommend you bring a small bottle of lube and a brush. If it is muddy, you will thank me.

Sauce....your knee pain is no joke.
We met (kinda) at Harding a month or two back.

My wife had knee pain that she "brave soldiered" away for a while. 2 years ago at the VQ she had the most torturous event of her life when 2 weeks prior a physical therapist determined that she had a horrid case of IT-band syndrome. Painful and difficult to remedy. Long story short...the VQ was her first ride back in a few weeks. Ouch.

So...treat the knee pain with SERIOUS respect. Have it addressed. Is your saddle too high? Too low? Is it too far back or to far fwd? Be real with your gearing. Being tough is one thing...not riding is another.

Dang-it! All I got for volunteering last year was to break Ed's truck and have to coast out of Mapple Springs. If I had known you get beer this year, things may have been different!!!

Seriously, good luck to all, though I know we've all trained enough that luck doesn't matter any more. See you guys out there, those at the back more than those at the front.

Hey Sarah,

I think it's a good idea not to race if your knee is bothering you that much. Listen to your body, it's telling you to take it easy. Knee pain should be taken seriously. As much as you may not want to hear it and I can relate, you should take the time to let your body heal. Riding CC may push you back in terms of recovery time or even harm your knee further. Better to heal now so that you can race later.

I'm slow anyways but who's counting right? for real is nO fun!! but than again I'm a little older than u so that doesnt help much!!

very sorry to hear u're hurting and that u will miss the race u been training hard for!! but like others said before, rest now so u can kick BUTT later!!
