Default RR - Santiago Truck Trail

It's been a while since I've been on a bike. Between being on the IR and a crazy work schedule it seems like a month. CC is looming large and I desperately need some miles in.

I still cant bend my finger around a handlebar but it doesn't hurt too much any more so off I went.

Since I knew the Luge would be a muddy mess, I parked near the gate and rode up to Old Camp and back. It seemed strange to ride this trail during the day. I forgot many of the features and nice views. Most of all though, it felt great to be back on a bike. I rode a slower pace than normal and took my time. Made it to Old Camp without stopping.

There wasn't much mud until past the flag. Some people need a lesson in trail manners. Too many tracks into the weeds to avoid a puddle.

I even had a Dubjay sighting on the way down.

It's been a while since I've been so stoked on a pretty short and tame ride. I guess lack of saddle time will do that.

Sorry - no pics.

C

Cool, you should be good and ready for Spring Fling. Now don't go and fail off your bike again.

nice report craig.... i rode it the other day and its been forever since i've ridden that trail during the day. I rode up from cooks to the flag and back down for the first time... its pretty dang fun and adds in some more mileage so that is helping me get back into shape.

Good to see you C.

The Luge wasn't that bad. It was a little soft on some of the corners so it was a little loose if you tried to pin the corners, but no mud to be found except in one of those shaded nooks.

It should be in awesome shape today.
