We went out for a quick ride Sunday, something laid back and fun. Keith, Bryce, Dino, Ann, and I met up at Santiago Oaks. While in the parking lot, we saw Dell, Matt, and Rob getting ready to. We all took off as a group heading towards S.O. before breaking off. Dell, Matt, and Rob headed up Zips while we went up the bitches. Nothing exciting to report except the trail is in excellent condition. Riding up the bitches was super tacky. If you have never cleared the 3 B’s, now is the time to try it. Once up there, we played around the tabletop jump and drop over by the play area. For the life of me, I could not clear the tabletop. I think I wasn’t preloading enough off the ramp or I didn’t suck the bike up to my body. I’m pretty new to the tabletop thing. We tried to wait for Dell, Matt, and Rob, but never saw them again till the end.
[FONT=Verdana][FONT="]This was Keith and Bryce’s first time down Chutes and they had a blast. I really wanted to go down Goat, but nobody wanted to climb back up again. Oh yeah, somewhere along the top ridge, I swapped bikes with Keith. He took my Nomad down and that was the last time I saw him. I think he’s shopping for a bigger bike now. After Oaks, we headed over to Peter’s to do a quick loop and finished the ride off with breakfast at Zov’s….Just another fun day out on the trails. LOL! I can't believe you took the pics of me pretending I'm on a bike
That was a such a blast on Sunday morning - Thanks for letting me ride the Nomad. I loved riding that thing (Except when the SRAM components conspired to remove one of my knee caps!) I even got it up some of the steep stuff at quite a pace. Gotta love big travel ![]()

Kind of reminds me of that commercial.

the right side of that table top is pretty lame since it doesn't really pitch you up enough to clear it at a decent speed. try the jump to the left, its a lot more fun since you get more air.
btw, wtf was that lady bitching about? i always take the time to stop and chat with hikers and horseback riders when ever i'm out there |

I need a tow truck ASAP

Sorry we never got to meet up with you guys at the play area.....we got a little "lost" on our way over to Zipps
The hike up Zipps wasn't that bad, definately worth it to go down Waterfall as I had forgotten how fun that trail is. As you said the trails are in good condition, cleaning the 3 b's was no problemo. With the rain the past couple days I can only imagine the trails are that much better now! |
