Scott, Lynn, and Larry got into Sedona last night. So we rode out from where they are staying and headed up Thunder Mt. Trail (Secret Trails Area) over to Dry Creek area (West Sedona). We rode way too many trails to list. Many trails that were unmarked that niether Scott or I had been on before. New dirt is always the best. Hard to get lost in Sedona because of all the landmarks. Any way we went out and circled Doe Mesa and dropped in between it and Cockscomb Mesa and back to town. 16-18 miles mostly easy miles...well as easy as Sedona gets.
Tomorrow BBQ Loop.

I've been to Sedona once and can't wait to get out there with my bike. The views from downtown are insane, I can only imagine how great it is out on the trail.

Yes, thats what I get for buying and bringing cold weather gear. The only time coats came out today was when we stopped on the trail to eat lunch. 65-70 degrees, no wind. Clear skys in the AM turned a little hazey mid afternoon.

We did another ride from where they were staying in West Sedona, this time we headed out to Migley Bridge then dropped into town for BBQ lunch and then over to Airport Loop Area.
I have riden this area before so I left the Singlespeed at home and took the 5-Spot. Not so much for the gears as for the suspension. If you have ever ridin' Teacup you will know what I mean. When you see skull n' crossbones on Cosmic Rays maps...pay attention. Rain was threatening all day but never did anything, the bummer is that the photos don't come out as good without that blue blue contrast. I continue with my bad habit of bushwacking...my legs and arms are trashed. The bushes here do not move and they have nastys in them. So far no injuries on mechs, Larry's tubeless rear tire flattened and I pinch flatted my front tire. Tomorrow the classic Oak Creek Village stuff.

THX, Frank. We got some snow last night in Prescott if they picked that up in Sedona it will make for some sweet pics today. Craigers I hope you do better at staying on the trail than I have done the last couple of days. The thorns got me legs all tore up.
