Default Mount Zion Loop

Took a good buddy of mine riding around the Chantry Flats area. He typically rides in the Laguna area or Mammoth a few times a year. He really liked it. By the end of the ride he had this grin on his face from ear to ear.

The weather was nice a cold but the sun came out to keep us warm at times. The trail was nice and tacky and a little slippery at times. The ride up to Mt. Zion was amazing. I have been riding this loop for years and this is the first time I could actually ride most of the trail; in part for two reason, 1) I'm in better shape and 2) the trail is actually rideable thanks to a lot of trail work. Towards the top there was snow on the ground. On the back side of Mt. Zion (north facing) the snow in the trees was melting and raining on us.

Snow on Monrovia Peak:

Those that know the Upper Creek Trail should know this little rock formation. This is the first time I've cleaned the darn thing after years of riding the trail. Look at the evil eye!

Fun & beautiful section of trail:

Cool pics, man. You have put a lot of work into that trail and it's a great one. I can't wait to get back.
