HIT UP HARDING TO JOPLIN 11-12-06...one word BRUTAL!!!!
took the hardtail (4" fork and v-brakes), man i don't remember joplin being such a hell ride. don't get me wrong i loved every minute. weather was windy on the climb up harding. it took me about 4 hrs and 45 min to do the whole harding/joplin loop. where does that time rate in your books?
ride free
peace

Pat yourself on the back. I have been on Harding/Joplin group rides that take 7 hours.

I'd say your pace was good. Plus you dealt with wind on Harding...ouch!

I think the 7Point5 weighs in around 44 to 45 pounds. My 7Point7 is 42 pounds, but it's a dry weight.

I think Chris and Auk's 7Point7s weigh in at just under 40.

Yup, the wind was brutal. We had to dealt with the high wind on Black star. Not just going against it, but trying to not get blown off the trail.
