We would not be on the steep part of Sturtevant above the camp.

Also parking goes fast at Chantry Flats. Yesterday I would not have found parking if the Forest Service did not let me park in their lot.

And again, stop being so mean. You are getting way grumpy.

We could add a couple more miles to it by riding up the Gabrileno to Sturtevant Falls.

Or push-a-bike up Mt. Zion to Camp Sturtevant (8-9 mile loop).
My favorite route: Up Upper Winter Creek - down Lower Winter Creek - Gabriellino to Camp Sturtevant - Up and over Mt. Zion - return via Upper Winter Creek. Only around 14 miles total, but still a very difficult ride. Most people prefer to ride Gab and Zion in the opposite direction. I like my route better because you can actually ride most of the Zion trail, and you finish on downhill singletrack instead of uphill pavement.

Big thanks to Brian and everyone else involved with working on the trails out there. I need to pay attention for the next work day. Chantry will once again be the best San Gab front range riding destination.

That sounds like an awsome route. I would love to do that route one day.

I have regularly scheduled events the first Sunday of the month. The next event will be Sunday December 3rd. See post for flyer. Hope you can make it!

Those interested in checking out the Chantry area can attend the ANF Super Shuttle ride we have planned on the 19th. We will be riding through some prime ANF territory.
