i attempted the switchback without scoping it out first... probly a bad move as i pulled an endo much like mcgraths but not as flashy. somehow my chain dropped and got stuck in the frame so i didn't try doing it again. Nearly cleaned the entire stairway tho.. got stuck at the bottom

I got 3/4 into it, before I realized this was the switchback in the video, so I was lined up wrong. I'd cleaned everything up to that point and had Pacman as my witness riding behind me giving me trail updates as we rode along. I did two nose wheelies on the Stairway and dabbed both times, but outside of that I rode it the rest of the way. I agree with Craig, this one turned out to be easier in realtime. The very end almost got me and I'm still not quite sure how I rode out of that. I stopped as I started to ride up the hill and looked back at it. It looks like you'd drop a tire in that little hole there, but somehow I rolled through it.

mikey,

from the two rides i've ridden with you, you're a hell of a rider.. hopefully with some practice i'll be able to clean more stuff.. i think i use speed, stupidity and bike travel to clean most of the stuff i do

Absolutely!! I was amazed riding behind you, seeing you clear stuff on a 5-Spot just as fast as I was on my 7" travel Haro.

It never ceases to amaze me though, what a bike can go over with a little speed and a rider willing to go for it.

Nam--your riding was pretty sweet too. Hucking stuff I was riding around and all. I would have liked to ride behind you a little more so I could take notes.

Now then, enough of this Brokeback-fest

Let's do it again sometime, eh?

Hey Dert- Ummm, maybe this should be posted on the women's site since it's fashion talk... anyways, they weren't really "riding shorts". They're actually ROXY golf shorts. I have a couple pairs of those riding shorts or shells that are made to be worn under regular shorts. I thought 'eh, if we're shutteling I'm gonna break out the golf shorts'. I know I looked like a dork, but I didn't care... Missed you on the ride! Next time..

Cool, got the guys talkin' fashion... NEMA makes a pair of knickers for guys that I thought about getting for myself, but they're kinda bulky and they're not cheap. The shell you can wear under any pair of shorts or pants is really cheap, like $20.00 and they're comfy.
