Default RR: Granite Mountain, Prescott, Arizona.

Trails: Mint Wash and 347.

Granite Basin Area is a well marked trail system thats ranges from easy and flat to expert steep tech. The last picture is a drop that I should have walked. The tech sections out there sneek up on you and are not very long. So it does not seem worth stopping to lower your seat for a short section. Anyway, I made the top part and did a face plant at the bottom. Gave my self a black eye, broke my glasses, and lost a chuck of skin of my cheek. I am thinkin' a gravity dropper may be in the my future. This is my home trail when I am in Prescott...I can ride 2 miles from the house to get to the Williamson Valley Trailhead.

This trail system borders Williamson Valley Road. Williamson Valley is full of large stables and mini horse ranches, it gets alot of horse use. The good news is, the horse folks I run into on the trail have no bad attitude toward bike riders. They think we are crazy and wonder how we ride the rock gardens and steep stuff.

Prescott is a beautiful area to ride. Hopefully our schedules will work out next time I'm in the area. Is it getting cold up there yet?

Not cold at all. They are predicting a warm and wet winter in the High Country Arizona this winter. Flagstaff was in the middle 60's. Prescott high 60's. To me that is near perfect riding weather. Rained hard Friday night and Saturday AM that was OK as I needed to work anyway. I was only able to fit in 1 full day and a half day of riding this trip.
