Default Found Singletrack

I found a single track by my house in Huntington off of Ellis and Goldenwest. It's legal but has a lot of horse traffic. Basically lame local park. Gotta watch for poooo.

If it's illegal to leave dog crap on the ground why don't horse owners have to pick up after their horse?

Dogs at least have dodgeable (word?) poop on the trails. I guess it would be funny that they would have to cary a giant scoop shovel and a hefty sack on horseback!!!

Horseback riders don't have to pick up the horse, errr poop, because of what its made up off. Dogs diet is alot different from a horses and because of what horses eat there poop i fine to leave.

Question MMMMMMMM mmmmmmm!

I don't see anyone picking up dog poop on the trails, it's everywhere.

The horse poop drys up in a few days and you never know its there.

The dog poop takes forever to biodegrade and it sits on the trail even when it's all dried out.

Horse crap ok Dog crap Sucks!

Sorry, I just found the picture, didn't take it.

DINO is right on. It's got a few small drops. If you exit 405, take Goldenwest south towards the beach, turn right on Ellis and look immediately on your right. There is a white fence with an entrance.

Please be nice to the "horsey people" so I can have aplace to do my bike tuning rides. The neighbors around that area are a little prissy with the horseys and we don't need another trail shut down...okay enough of the public service announcements .

Ride it and trial it. I'd guess there's 3 miles of tracks criss crossing the small park. you can't get lost, it's way to small. Definately a good "quickie spot" after work!

Thanks! I've been looking for a place in my area (Huntington). The drive to Aliso and El Moro (on PCH) can be killer sometimes ...

end of Slater? Slater and what?

Yeah, I gave the HB trail a try today. Lots of crap! haha ... not too bad. just sort of small. only a couple fun things to go down. not bad for only being a mile or two from my house, though. some of the dirt was too soft -- there was a nice little jump.

You could try Fairview park, Fairly flat but it's fun.

Yeah, I used to ride at Fairview. There used to be some big stuff but it has been torn down. There are still two 6 to 8 foot step-up jumps, a quad-pack down the bluffs and many more misc. small jumps.

I uploaded a video on youtube, however. Because the video is in portrait mode, the video is now distorted. It actually makes the jump look really small. If you want to check it out, here is the video:

Where's this Slater park? Also, I heard that there is riding at El Dorado in LBC. Any comments on either?

go west on slater till it ends in a neighborhood. Park on the street perpendicular to Slater and then ride through the opening through the gate next to the flood channel till you hit dirt, then go left and you should see some trails/jumps then hop onto the side of the river and ride towards the ocean and you will come across the big jumps. There is a rumor that Slater trails is no more but I havent gone down lately to check it out. So no gurantee you will find anything....

Also there is hidden valley down the street from my house also if your looking to jump

Focker,

You and my brother might be neighbors; he lives off Petaluma and Willow.

Phat Tire, as far as stuff at Eldorado, there isn't anything that I know of, outside of some DJ's south of the sewage treatment plant that is south of El Dorado. The park is huge, so there may be some path on the east side of the park, but the land is pretty flat and wouldn't lend itself to much in the way of excitement outside of some man made stunts/jumps.
