Default cool people

I rode Chino Hills yesterday and it was really hot. I got a flat tire on south ridge and a couple of riders passed by without a word. One guy stopped and helped me after that though. This was my first flat. I knew how to change a tube in theory, but had not done it and was struggling a little. This guy that stopped was kind enough to talk me through it step by step and before I knew it, it was fixed! After I thanked him, he took off like a shot. He had said he rides there a lot, so hopefully I see him again soon, don't chicken out next time and ask him for his phone number.

yup that was me, you're free to have my # anytime! j/k most of the time if i've had a mechanical problem on the trail, everyone that has passed has at least asked if i was ok. There will always be people that are too into their riding to help out others.

If it is one thing I have noticed in my brief time riding it's that MTBer's for the most part are good people. Saying hi as they pass by or giving warning if they are coming up fast behind you before passing.

Talking WELCOME Tituschick

Hey first off WELCOME from another she-rider. We ride CWP/Marshall often if you'd like to make your way up here. Fun night rides too...
Can you ride weekdays? I'll join ya in Chino sometime...

Years back was walking my bike down Baldy Rd. (flat-forgotten spare) and a group of riders stopped and put their own spare on it refusing nothing more than a "thank you" . I offered to atleast replace it! Now that's COOL...
BTW they happen to all be mountain bikers on their way down from the lifts.
I'm just saying ... (just funnin' with ya roadies)
Hey Mark...next time you tear by me at CWP I'll throw a few Lycra jokes at ya

Darn roadies!

I hope you all know we're just funnin'. That's coming from a guy sporting lycra so you can't possibly take it seriously.
