So now you tak'n up surfing??? Dang that sounds wild. I think the front wheel is supposed to be pointed strainght and the back wheel will follow. Is your helmet under warranty?

Default Awesome Ride!

My thanks to Dean, Scott, and Mike for lending their experience to keep all us Plunge virgins together (well, relatively). Despite the heat, exhaustion, and running out of fluids on the way down, I still had a lot of fun through it all. From Joy outclimbing near everyone to the top, to Rob's four flat tires. And thanks all for making a STR newbie feel welcome.

Thanks Dean. I'm just glad I was able to hang with the group and didn't eat it on those sketchy areas. This ride definitely pushed my descending skills past my comfort level to help me get better. Towards the end, I just let go of the brakes because my hands hurt, my discs we're squealing from fade, and I had a splitting headache from being sick. I'm definitely taking all those climbs next time! Here are several more pics of the ride.

Just an awesome ride. No pics. from our group, but you get the idea.

Big props to Steppie and Pain Freak for putting the idea out there, keeping it up, and following through. The interest and turnout wouldn't have been nearly as great if not for their efforts.

Also, many thanks to jfsh and the other local boys for being such great hosts/ guides. A pleasure riding with you. Will most definitely be dropping a line next time we head that way.

September, anyone?

Big thanks to Scott, Dean, Mike, and the Local guys. You guys cared from the begaining to the end. Henry thanks you ( Scott and Mike) for helping him out on this bike. I think Scott was like the biggest hero (from what I see) hanging around for Frank and Rick and gathering water from everyone so he can give it to the last 2 guys. Mike and Scott always have to do the clean up work. Big thanks to the nice cool weather. Its always fun riding with you guys because you guys look out for each other. Personally I had a blast, even with the hike a bike. Joy climbs those hills like if she had a motor on her bike (big props) and rode down the plunge alone. Im glad Rich and Frank made it out ok. I had a fall (Down Hill section) but luckly I didnt go far down the side, Scary at the time, LOL. Next time we come more prepared. Henry (Most battle scars) and Jay had fun even though they got the wrong bike for the mountain. My group died when we got to the car... But they will do it again. Who ever missed the ride this time, you have to go to know whats its like. Words cant explain everything. Oh, ill try to get the video up ASAP.
