Default Mt. Wilson shuttle

14 of us turned out today to shuttle the Merrills, Sunset and El Prieto. The DH was sweet but dusty, the (brief) climbs were wicked hot, and other than a crank arm that just didn't want to stay attached to 1x1clyde's bike (a MacGyver fix with zipties at the top of Sunset finally remedied the problem), mechanicals were not an issue. Would've taken more pics, but I was busy falling over on switchbacks and picking bad lines all day. Wish I could've stuck around for Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles post-ride. I'm sure there are gonna be stories from that.

1x1clyde shaking down his beautiful new Intense SlopeStyle on Upper Merrill, with crank attached for a change:

Onlyontwo into a switch:

Grandpa coming down Upper:

Rescue operation to retrieve JoeTruth's bike from down the hillside:

Regroup before heading down to Inspiration Point:

1x1clyde eyes a gnarly line (missed getting shots of Intense Jake and tkblazer making this):

Bandman across the rock bridge on El Prieto:

DHSpokes slips off the bridge but is still too fast for my camera:

Bananaseat under a low bridge on El P:

Sorry I missed you guys... after a 51 miler yesterday, I slept in and got a later start than planned and didn't get to the top until about 10:30 (riding up Lower Merril and Mt. Lowe). I ended up doing the whole ride solo, which has it's own benefits, but did the same route down as your group. Would have been cool to have some company.

That little rock bridge in El P was new (since I last rode El P) and a nice little surprise.

Glad you guys had a great time.. hard not to.

Did Joe go over the side with his bike? Or was it just the bike?

Jeez, that was so much steeper in person than it looks in the picture!

Great to ride with all of you today, we'll have to do it again soon.

BTW Toby, Roscoes was packed so we ended up going to BJ's instead. Good times

Default Good Times!

good times yesterday!
Sorry about the lame crank arm issue but at least it stayed attached thru the fun stuff
my first time up there and it was killer as was the new toy- minus the crank arm stuff- it was like the flatline but 10 lbs lighter
My buddy Jake was stoked on the route and loved the group, even though Joe kept trying to hug him

Only a few pix from yesterday:

the socom and slopestyle!

Nam, Noel and Jake

Andy

local rider and Adrenaline Bikes customer- I knew he looked familiar

The Flying Gilmartin!

Thanks again for the guided tour and mech support, can't wait for the next one!!!

Thanks!

Default Missed you guys?

Me and my bro Ray started the toll road climb at 7 am and where done by 10:30. We saw a ton of riders out there and it was dusty and ruted in sections some stupid shuttlers were flying down the FR to sunset to get in two runs before all the hikers and trail runners!!

Maybe you need new tires? Your other option is to ride sweep.
