Stop stealing my thunder!

David,
Thanks again for being so selfless and stopping to take all those pictures. It was great riding with all of you as always. I love the shot of me falling over on the Great Wall of China. I love how Hanzo just stands there watching me as I just fall over. His body never even moved or changed one bit from one frame to the next. Classic! ![]()

Stop stealing my thunder!

Lot's and lot's of experience my friend. Crashing experience that is. As you can see on the video, I just rolled on to my back and slid to a stop. That's right, judges gave me a perfect ten on that one.

Today was a great ride. I pushed myself a little harder today as I climbed out of Cow Trail on my 41 pound XC bike
. I really wanted to just stop and walk as my legs felt like they were on fire, but I kept on going and im glad I did. A-line was not so fun as I lost front brake, and I know duke777 is laughing at me because I have not installed my Maguras yet. Tara is just killing it now on the downhills, and she even passed me a few times laughing. Before everyone showed up me and Pato were talking about take off speed and landiing to flat. We were going over the whole sitiuation. Ive seen my share of sketchy stuff done on bikes and you know sometimes you just get the feeling. Thats why I said that Pato should wear the armor and take off his other gear that he did not need. It saved him today. |

Nice try on that drop Pato
. I've been eyeballing that for a while, but I was planning on cutting a few branches out of the way first. Maybe I will give it a try next time I feel like lugging the big bike around there![]()

Pato, you're so lucky you only came away with scratches. Hope you heal up quick and not too sore tomorrow. I think that wingnut saved your back from more road rash. You must of had a wild hair cuz you were just trying everything today. Gotta give you credit though.
Tara it amazes me how much you've improved! Sorry didnt get to say bye to the whole group, I had to meet up with the family at noon. Good ride everyone. |

Ouch, that crash could've been far worse. Glad it wasn't though. If you look at the video, looks like you landed a little off balance and your front wheel was already pointing to the right vs. straight. Or like you said, not enough wait on the front wheel. Needless to say, that's a ballzy attempt.
Feel better!

Yeah, I seen the same thing Joe did. Wheel was already turned and it looked like you were about to bail even before the bike landed, Landing to flat like that is really tough. We've been talking and eyeing that jump for years and props to you for being the first to give it a go. No one evr liked the take off much either as there;s no lip, just the opposite as it kind of drops off at the end. You got some big ones for sure Pato!
