Default Junction Creek - Durango, CO

A little late but heck, here it goes. On our second day of our roadtrip to Durango two weeks ago we drove from Flagstaff to Colorado where we camped at Junction Creek and rode part of the Colorado Trail late in the afternoon. This was our first ride in Colorado and we were not dissapointed.
Our ride started at the bottom of the Colorado Trail along the creek with the sound of water down below and views of pine trees and aspen covering the mountains around us.
Scott (STJunkie), Nick (Good_ol_Slappy) and I continued up to Gudy's Rest and eventually to the Dry Fork trail, while Gabe (AirGabe) and Dean (DStepper) cut the ride short at the wooden bridge and decided to explore a different area. It was starting to get dark, so some of my pics didn't come out too good:

From our campground, we took the fireroad down the the beginning of the CT:

Thins got a little dark on Dry Fork and our lights had to be used. Great place to pop my cherry as far as night riding goes.
I had been having stomach problems this whole ride. One thing I learned that day was to always carry TP with you. Thanks to Scott for the 3 squares of beat up TP he gave me. Those three squares spared my socks

Nice pics thanks Vic. After I left you guys Gabe went back to camp so I climbed the fireroad above camp hoping to get up to a sunset view. Beautiful country out there.

Nice photos Vic. Your and Dean's RRs and pics have convinced me that a Colorado trip will be necessary next Summer. It looks awesome there!

Do you want green and wildflowers? Or wait until the monsoons are over and not deal with the showers and mud?

There is a ton of stuff in and near town that we did not ride. We went after the high altitude wildflowers.
