Did a loop ride in the Santa Monica's yesterday evening.

Parked at Capri and Sunset and rode up to the junction of Sullivan Ridge and Sullivan Canyon, I struggled some as I'm getting back into riding. Lots of dripage from the helmet!

Began my decent into the canyon and imediatly I came across a snake, it was a baby rattler! He was just hanging on the warm trail, I stopped for a pic of course!

It was timely as a few riders came by, so, I placed myself in front so it wouldn't get run over.

was climbing up the canyon and almost ran over a 2 footer. Stopped and watched him for awhile, then On the way down I came up on two guys who were stopped mid trail, they had almost run over a massive rattler. Lot of snakes on the trail today.

The little ones are the most dangerous and unpredictable, but they all taste better than chicken.

Looks just like the one we saw in Morro. When we asked it to move it turned towards us and hissed before moving into the unknown.
