RR: BFlo and J Sims Krunk Claremont on Single Speeds

SO, around 215 i was working on my homework, and i got frustrated that it was taking so long.. I decided i needed to take a break and take my mind off of it for a little bit. I decided, lets go ride my Gato Negro some more. Well, i suited up and headed to CWP, my local trail, and just as im entering the gate, i notice a familiar silver SUV, with a huge dood getting his gear on, and The Biggest Niner i've ever seen. My first thought was, hey thats J SIMS! But i kept riding and figured i would wait for him at the top. Well, the climbs went well and i didnt have to stop on the way up, but i wasnt gettting much traction for whatever reason, so i decided to stop, correct my air pressure, and water some bushes. Not too long later Here comes J, Krunking up the last climb. At the top, he said oh hey BFlo whats up dood. We chatted for awhile, then decided we would set on and connect to Marshall, then come back up. Boy was that a crazy decision.
We had a great ride, and on the way up Marshall, just before we hit claremont, we decided to try some new switchbacks, and it was a bad choice... it was so damn steep, it makes me not want to try that again.
It was very nice though, but if i had to change something, i would say it was Really loose, but then again, Small Block 8's are made to be light, and arent great for loose on hard type trails.
We ended up at just above 2000' of climbing, and about 15 miles if i remember correctly, We will have to ask him for the official stats from the ride though.
All in all, it waqs a great day for SS Kunkin' and i had alot of fun riding with someone rather than doing it alone.
If anyone wants to ride in claremont, let me know a few days ahead of time so i have a riding buddy


* On a side note, I am not a small guy by any means. I'm around 5'11", but im skinny at a mere 130 Pounds, and i must say, i thought i used alot of seatpost on XC bikes, but riding next to Jeff, I felt TINY! Anyways great ride and i need to find a way down to his neck of the woods.

I had a meeting in Pomona and rather than fight traffic home I thought to bring the SS and check out my old stompin grounds... As I stomped to the top of the grind I recognized B's new ride and well you have already read the rest... Grand total 14.7 miles and 2376 in elevation grinding the Singles Great ride and a pleasant surprise to have someone to ride with...

Krunking, is Grinding on a SS in my books.
Going until you cant go anymore, and then krunking up that last climb.

Oh, i almost forgot, on the Singletrack connecting Claremont to Marshall canyon, i was leading and saw a dove in the middle of the trail so i stopped, and it flew away, and a black ball was on the trail. Upon closer inspection, it was a baby dove learning to fly, that had not learned all the way, so Jeff jumped off his rig, and being sure not to touch it, helped it off the trail into the tree/shrubs near the floor where it was out of harms way, and so that its mother could find it again

i am a little confused but the dialogue but i am guessing you rode between the clarement wilderness trail and marshall canyon. i have always wanted to do that ride but know one to do it with.
