We did do those trails. Also did one called Goodman, which was nearly as epic as the Alpine. Not to thread jack at all but here are some pics. I have a friend living in Eugene, so he was the guide for a week. There are so many incredible trails it was hard to decide which ones to ride. Central Oregon easily rivals some of the more known destinations for riding.

Default Dirtmistress is the best guide!

I have heard of these trails from Liz for years. Her enthusiasm made this trip a blast. I had my victories and defeats but all was good! Where are we going next year?!

It's my wifes turn to pick the vacation spot net year. She's been talking about a Carribean cruise, but I think I might be able to talk her into visiting her family again and that means lots of riding for me!

My vacation starts at the beging of the week, and the Umpqua tour is at the end of the week. So, I'm planning on hitting some other spots durring the week.
As of now I still have room for one, maybe to in my car for the drive up. You're more than welcome to take a spot.

Liz, are you guy's still in Oregon?
I checked out the Cogwild site! That section on the home page is the last mile or so of the section called "Dread and Terror" and that bridge is where Jeanine slipped while walking and the handlebars came up to meet her nose! OWCH!! She bled for 10 minutes!!

Excellent RR and Pics Liz. I've merged your threads and also merged several post to streamline it. I vote this one to be the RR of the week!
