Thumbs up Jake's First BB Chairlift Ride

Well, Jake and I went down to The Path this morning with the intentions on trying to recruit some guy's to head to Rim Nordic for some XCing, with some Super D runs thrown in.

It didn't quite go as planned..........

At the shop the word was "big mountain riding", but the word's "CHAIR LIFT" got thrown into the mix too.

All Jake had to say was, "I've never ridden the chair lift yet".

Change of plans!

We hit Snow Summit with Tani, Chivo, and Cliff, and ran into Marshall & CB while we were there.

Jake had a BLAST!!

We got 5 runs in, he had one slow speed crash, and gained a crapload of confidence by the time we left.

He's planning on racing Super D at Rim Nordic on the 26th, and I know he's gonna do well, and more importantly, have a GREAT time!

All trails ridden were "legit" and well traveled.

We were having so much fun, that I only got four pics taken.

So, here ya go........

Jake log rollin'

He said, "man, my bike look's cool up there."
So, I took a picture of it for him.

And since the camera was out, I got one of him too.

On the third time down CB, he had way more confidence, and looked really good.

Well, another Father & Son ride in the book's, with lot's more to come!

Nice Job, Daren and way to go "Earthquake" Jake. He's definitely got your aggressive gene so keep him padded-up with a FF on during all rides!

It was great running into you guys there! Sounds like Jake did an awesome job, as usual! And his dad too, of course.

The weather was perfect at Big Bear this weekend! Wish I'd gotten some pics - I brought the camera but forgot the battery.

Nice job Jake!!! Way to go Daren! I'm hoping to get my son on the newbie ride up there next weekend.

Man, isn't it fun to just decide to head up to big bear on a whim? Good times. Perhaps I'll see you guys up there next time I'm there.

BTW, i think that log in the first picture is WAY more fun if you launch it

Congrats on the 1st lift ride Jake. I still remember my first ride up a lift in Mammoth in the early 90's. I kept thinking my bike would fall off.
