Default 2 Bikes, a dad, his son, and a swing = whataday!

I took my oldest on a quick ride down to Walnut Creek. He hasn't done much riding in the dirt or crossing streams. He did a great job today. Makes a dad proud.
While riding back he says, "I think I found a passion for something. That has never happened to me before".

His first creek crossing.

Grinding up a short and steep.

Building confidence

Crossing a bit deeper water. He nailed it.

The "reward at the end"

Back to the truck, still asking for more!!

I can't wait for my little guy, and for that matter, my little girl to be out there with me...

Yeah, my little one wanted to go. I told he needs to learn to ride with no training wheels first. That seemed to motivate him to keep trying.

Not really much to the trail. Although it is a great connector from where I live to get up to Bonelli Park. The trail crosses the creek 6 or 7 times. Then at the end its a steep climb to get out of the canyon. I sometimes ride this connected to a loop around Bonelli. Makes for a ride with three or four pretty good climbs.

Boys love the dirt. I don't think we ever grow out of it. I haven't yet. Awesome RR!!!

Don't be surprised when your daughter ends up being the one beating the boy's up the hill!
Lacey used to have a saying; "I don't chase boy's, I PASS them!"

Best to print those photo's out and put them in a photo album today. They'll last a lifetime. I can still remember my father giving me bicycle lessons at age 4 with no training wheels, and that was back in 1962.

Riding with my son is one of my most favorite things in life. We have so many stories of storms, crashes and snakes. It got us both through the impossible teen years and now its sweeter than ever.
