Default Singletrack Angel Cleans Cholla

AP-June 30 Aliso Viejo CA
Ths day will go down in history as one of the finest performances ever by Singletrack Angel (AKA Kristine)!
After a rough start with the day camps and day cares, she was determined to clean Cholla. She started out strong, accompanied by myself brendagilbert (AKA brendagilbert),KeepsWhatHappens(John) Genussomething or other(Gene) and Chipster(Chip).. It is not an easy feat to keep up with these boys along Wood Canyon AND ride the wooden bridges along the way. After a brief rest in the shade we started our climb in spite of the high temps of the day. In an exclusive interview SingletrackAngel says:

"Today I set out on a mission to clean Cholla. Like summiting Mt. Everest, it takes a full support team to make sure the climber can get to the top. I had Brenda for inspiration (cause she can clean it), John behind me with encouraging words and advice, Gene in front showing me the lines, and Chipster up ahead waiting for me at the top.

It was the BEST feeling when I got to the top without stopping! And I didn't even cough up a lung when I got to the top. "

I am here to attest that her lungs remained intact and she did not stop along this treacherous climb. Thanks to Gene for capturing the moments on the Pinksonycybershot 7.2!

After another brief rest, the group bombed down Lynx, and headed for an UPHILL Extravaganza of Rock-it. Along the way they spotted 1x1 Clyde on his monsterofabike before attacking coyote.
Along the West Ridge Trail, a chain snapped, but was quickly repaired by the expert hands of Gene and John, and the group was on their way.

A quick TOW and water stop they descended the home lined streets and made their way to "Meadows". They were greeted by some hot moutain biker chicks from Colorado on a road trip. The chicks inquired as to what trails to ride next while in Socal, and Gene became the instant spokeperson for the group. When asked to join the girls in Noble Canyon on Tuesday Gene replied "Nah, I have to work". This reporter and others were shocked by this admission and failure to secure any phone numbers, or at the very least an email address for further contact. AMAZING! After the always fastfunandfurious ride down Meadows, the group descended the parking lot, just rewards and lunch at Mi Tierre. Surely and event to remember for years to come!

Congratulations Kristine.

I'd write more but I need to hurry up and head down to Noble Canyon.

Oh...now you need to start adding Mathis to your regular rotation.

Thanks! And, well, I didn't ride ALL the way up Rock-It, but I made it all the way to the super steep part...
